About
Photo Valletta is a new initiative put in place to promote the art of photography and related forms of art focusing strictly on Valletta and its environs as the core subject. This is an independent initiative from past activities related to Valletta which is a UNESCO Heritage Site.
Founded in 1566, Valletta is a unique city and the only Baroque city which still has all of its lines of fortifications intact. Built by the Knights of St John and assisted by the best European engineers of the 16th century it is constructed around a uniform grid plan within fortifications and bastioned city walls surrounding it.
PhotoValletta will keep updating its website with new photographic collections and other related art projects, strictly dedicated to the capital city of Malta
The promoters of this initiative will also accept similar projects of the highest level by other artists and emerging artist wishing to present their work on this platform. The platform is another initiative put forward by Peter Paul Barbara and Anna Monika Damianou who is the lead designer of this website. This platform is being managed in conjunction with www.peterpaulbarbara.com, www.eyeworks.photography, and the bi-monthly publication, Eyeworks – Fine Art Photography magazine.
